Speedometer pinion seal
I've been noticing some leaking around my speedometer pinion seal. Does anyone know which way this seal is supposed to face? The front is solid and the back has a groove (orange seal in the pic).

Re: Speedometer pinion seal
I guess it was in the correct way then, didn't look to have any damage to it though as to why it would be leaking. Oh well, the replacement will be here soon enough...

Re: Speedometer pinion seal
Mine leaked a little and it had stiffened up some and the gear was worn a little. I put a new seal in and set in in a little deeper to find a new spot on the gear to run on. Seems ok now.
