1976 Sierra Classic 2WD 454 longbed part out

Well, I hurt the 454 in Julius yesterday on the way home from work. Not locked up or totally spun bearings or anything, but oil pressure fluttered and slight knock from one of the rods I believe. I think the best return for money right now is to part him out and concentrate on my '74 Mr. Green Jeans.

The only things I'm keeping are the brakes (entire system), tires, and windshield. Everything else is up for grabs.

Known parts available are:

$400 454 rebuildable core complete carb to pan $400
$60 Hooker Headers BBC headers 1.75 primaries. They have good ground clearance. These were brand new when I bought the truck back in August. $60
$200 Transmission TH350. Buy it as unknown condition, previous owner stated it ran/drove, but it sat for 13+ years $200
$150 American Racing "Hammer" style wheels with center caps $150
$100 '79 454 grille and trim, including the 79 style headlight surrounds, the top thin grille trim, and the thicker lower grill trim piece. Also includes the mounting brackets $100
$80 SHIPPED PRICE Sport mirrors with brackets SHIPPED PRICE $80
$50 SOLD Seat has been recovered and faded from brown to a funky color, but could easily be redyed. No rips. SOLD $50
$50 SOLD side and back glass, for all SOLD $50
$50 SOLDAC compressor, alternator, PS, brackets and pullies (AC worked until hose was cut) SOLD$50
$20 SOLDThe gauge bezel has been cut for a single DIN radio, so if you'd rather not cut yours, here's one that's already done. Has a few stress cracks near the upper corner, but good driver quality piece. SOLD$20
$20 SOLD Dash has a few cracks, but the wood style insert is very nice. Will separate, but you can have the dash if you really want it. SOLD$20
$100 Steering column with keys. No slop. Has early style cruise control switch in working order. $100
$50 Entire cruise control system. The harness is in great condition and all hoses came out in one piece. Great cable and vacuum diaphragm. Will split at $25 for the transducer and $25 for the harness. For all $50
$20 SOLD Wood style door panels in brown. Passenger's door has had the aluminum trim reglued and has a slight bend. Fixable to the right person. Map pockets are excellent. The black paint sqiggles on the aluminum have wear at the driver's arm/window position. SOLD $20
$60 SOLDHood. Few rust bubbles started along the front, but none through the metal. Sand it down and repaint SOLD$60
$80 SOLDDriver's fender, no rust SOLD$80
$80 SOLDPassenger's fender, no rust, light door ding SOLD$80
$50 Radiator support, comes with or without AC condenser $50
$80 SHIPPED PRICE (Pictured, scroll down) Sport mirrors, few light scratches, missing the plastic "gasket" from one, but complete with brackets and screws SHIPPED PRICE $80
$15 Lock set with keys! $15

Everything is plus shipping unless marked. If you don't see it, just ask. Whatever I don't pull in the next couple of days will go to the crusher. I'll try to pull everything I can think of, but small obscure parts will probably be skipped unless you mention them. Pictures of most of these parts can be seen in my Julius project thread link in my signature, but I'll be adding pictures as items are pulled this weekend.

Re: 1976 Sierra Classic 2WD 454 longbed part out

I will do the engine brackets and pulley's, possibly the radiator 3 or 4 core? (depends on shipping) and if you have the complete engine oil cooler and power steering cooler? if it came with them. I am trying put everything back that was strippped off of my 454 2 wheel drive blazer before i bought it.

If possible would I be able to get all the bolts, nuts etc since I don't have any of it.

Let me know, money is tight but depending on shipping on the radiator and price of the coolers...........definitely want the brackets etc

Thanks,
Steve

PM me or SCJKOVACH@AOL.COM I tend to forget

Tailgate trim panel, any dents? All scratched up? And how is the front bumper? If these are nice, I am interested.

FYI, the AC compressor and alternator are both VERY heavy for shipping. The brackets themselves aren't too bad. Shipping for the radiator will be spendy too due to size. Not sure if it is 3 or 4 core because I never had any issues with it, so I never gave it a second look. I'll report later when I start stripping stuff. This truck has no coolers for oil or PS.

Tailgate band is actually really nice as is the front bumper. Shipping can be tough due to the length and weight. Do you live near a bus terminal? Those can be about half of what traditional shipping companies charge if you can go there to pick up your items. Guessing $70-$100 shipping through Greyhound off of the top of my head.

Re: 1976 Sierra Classic 2WD 454 longbed part out

wouldn't need the actual compressor of the pump, I have a 3 core already but if you had a 4 core I might be interested.

Yeah shipping sucks, I used to just buy then make my run around the country getting what I bought! wasn't cheaper but lots more fun and then gas got so high...........

Let me know thanks,
Steve

So you only want the brackets and nuts and bolts then? How about the alternator?

Re: 1976 Sierra Classic 2WD 454 longbed part out

Tailgate, tailgate trim strip, bed liner, and cab trim sold pending payment tomorrow. Pleasure meeting you and Chris, Mike!

Rest of the items shown here are pulled and ready if you want them.

The gauge bezel has been cut for a single DIN radio, so if you'd rather not cut yours, here's one that's already done. Has a few stress cracks near the upper corner, but good driver quality piece.

Dash has a few cracks, but the wood style insert is very nice. Will separate, but you can have the dash if you really want it. $20

Steering column with keys. No slop. Has early style cruise control switch in working order. $100

Entire cruise control system. The harness is in great condition and all hoses came out in one piece. $50 for the whole thing, or will split at $25 for the transducer and $25 for the harness.

Wood style door panels in brown. Passenger's door has had the aluminum trim reglued and has a slight bend. Fixable to the right person. Map pockets are excellent. The black paint sqiggles on the aluminum have wear at the driver's arm/window position. $20 for the pair.

I will take the door panels as long as shipping is reasonable. Do you have the dash emblem? Shipping quote to 80516.

The woodgrain dash insert with emblem is in pretty good shape. I looked through my pictures on my work computer and don't have any shots of it. The overall shot of the parts in the garage you can kinda see that it's there, but I'll get you a much better picture of it tonight after work. The dash pad itself isn't worth anything, so you can have the whole thing if you want it, otherwise I could pull it from the pad and ship it with the panels.

The cables are so easy to pull from salvage yards, I'd rather keep it all together. This cable actually came from a Buick and I could tell that it had recently been replaced on that car.

Vent and side windows are good shape and don't whistle, but the tracks could use new felts. Sealed well and no water leaking at all. Very lightly tinted at 50 percent I would guess. Definitel lighter than 35 percent...

Just to be clear, are you talking the brackets that bolt directly to the engine? Or the ones that hold the rubber mounts to the chassis?
