Most guys who stuck/stick a metal floor in one of these beds don't go overboard about fastening them down. See how it's fastened in and figure out how to take it out and then you may have some clean up work to do if it was welded in.t
My guess is that is whats left of the wood and metal strips is under the steel bed floor.
