Which sway bar . . . 60-66 or 73+
Hey all,
Getting ready to order a swapbar kit for my 66 GMC. I'm using the front end setup from a 85 C10. I assume I need to order a sway bar kit for the 85, as opposed to one for a 66 C20. Can anyone confirm/deny? Thanks all! |

The factory front sway bars are interchangeable from '63-'87. I would just use a factory bar from a '73+ C10,20 or 30. The C30 and some C20's had a larger 1-1/8" (?) sway bar.

Re: Which sway bar . . . 60-66 or 73+
I used a 1.25" sway bar from a mid 80's c-30 and it bolted right up. New bushings were about $25 plus a rattle can of hammer tone silver and done.
Haven't drive it yet, but going from no bar should be an improvement!
