How to go about this?
Well I ended up getting a new oil pressure gauge for my truck. And it seems that I'm going to have to cut a hole in the face of the old oil pressure gauge, in order to properly mount the new one.
How should I do that? I die grinder is overkill. And a dremel would take forever. But maybe it should take forever. So that its done right the first time. Is there an easy way? |

Is this a factory or aftermarket gauge? I cant see having to do any mods with a factory replacement gauge.

Autometer. Gotta cut that hole in the factory one to make everything line up easily and correctly. Otherwise I've got no way to tell if its too far forward, or backwards. Until its already mounted and then with all the work you put into doing that, its too late.

I used a hole saw once. It worked pretty good. Just make sure the hole saw you use is the same outside diameter as the gauge diameter because a hole saw will almost always make a hole just a touch bigger.
