1961 Apache question
My K10 Apache hasnt ran for awhile and now when i try to start it, the vaccuum advance doesnt seem to be working. Its getting spark, but not firing and the distributer is about the only thing i can trace the problem to. So has anyone had to replace them or know how to get them to work properly again? thanks

Re: 1961 Apache question
Two things to get it going. If you have spark (at the plugs) check for fuel. I do not think the vacuum advance is your problem. Take off your air cleaner and see if you have fuel to your carb. Fuel and spark .

Re: 1961 Apache question
Typically fuel, spark = run. If you are getting a weak spark (orange, not blue spark) then you problem is the coil, cap, rotor, ect....... My bet is your points are dirty and you are getting a weak spark... Seen it many times on cars that set
