Keeping factory 66 color or change it?
I found the original build sheet or what's left of it when the truck was being blasted this past weekend.the original cold or the truck was dark aqua metallic and white 2 tone.. How rare is this color to see? I'd rather not have a color everyone else has. I can't find much on this color.heard it was a one year only color.. What does everyone think. If anyone has some good pics of this color on a truck it would sure help.

Paint it the color you like. Why would you care what someone else likes unless you have a wife ? It's your truck and you have to live with it.

Everyone does NOT have this color. It's not seen too often. About the only example I can remember is this one.http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=561613

I think that would be a rare color, especially in two-tone.
66" only I think. If you like it that would be a cool color.

That's what I was thinking, something u don't see everyday. Not a common color just like to see it other than a paint chip. May look diffrent on the whole vehicle than the chip.

I'm with 1963 on this. I would paint it the original color and as a lot have said, not a color you see very often. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Keeping factory 66 color or change it?
Thanks guys. I think everyone's right. The truck was born that color and I think it should return that color. Mixed up a bit today at work and really like the look and shene. It is diffent and I really like that part. I don't think I'll go to many shows and see another like it. So back to stock colors it will be.

Re: Keeping factory 66 color or change it?
Cool....and you know we'll want pics of the progress!!!
There is a 64 c-20 that belongs to an older guy who runs a long care business. I've seen the truck around town since the early 90's and his is the same paint scheme. Its not seen very often, but a nice color combo.

Re: Keeping factory 66 color or change it?
I had a really tough time picking a color. I changed my mind 20 times! Fact is they all look good if you spend enough time prepping them before paint. I love the 2 tone but couldn't bring myself to do it on MY truck. good luck!
