Re: 52+v8+champion rad
On the upper you will probably be looking at a curved hose or one you can cut the curve out of that is the right diameter and has a section the right shape and length. Maybe the standard SB hose for a mid 70's pickup if it looks like you can cut the ends off just right to get a nicely shaped hose out of the middle. Outside of hauling the truck to the parts house I'd suggest taking a wire or something that you can bend that will hold it's shape and bend the shape you want and go looking.
On the bottom hose it is again search through the available sbc hoses but you might start with the ones for 55/57 Chevies.

Re: 52+v8+champion rad
unfortunately the local part stores keep a very limited stock of hoses in house and even then they wont go looking for one without a part number. which is why i asked. maybe someone has part numbers handy

Re: 52+v8+champion rad
A while back these numbers were posted: NAPA upper 7240, lower 7438, I don't recall who posted them, sorry. Some "cut to fit" was advised.
I hope they work 'cause my truck has a gm 5.7 and a 4 row Champion radiator.!! |

Re: 52+v8+champion rad
I have a SBC 350 with a Classic 'desert cooler' and I used a Gates 20597 for lower. Cut-to-fit tho. Upper is a 19"(I think) Gates 25480. But I have a forward facing 45* waterneck. A 17" hose should work, I was too lazy to walk around the corner to auto parts house.

Re: 52+v8+champion rad
Mine is a TF so numbers will not help. I bent coat hanger wire to the configuration I needed for upper and lower and took them to Orielys. Guy walked back and in less than 5 minutes brought be 3 of each to look at. I had to cut some off of one end on both, but look like they were made for the truck.
