So I heard the newer Suburbans can't do this:
I was able to fit 14 sheets of plywood in my suburban and close the tailgate and have the a/c on. I heard the Suburbans made after 1991 can't do this.
Anyways I realize I'm not the first person to haul plywood, but I thought is was pretty cool that it fit perfectly.

My 06 Yukon XL will do the same. Hauled an entertainment center home in it not real long ago and was surprised it fit, but it did. Have no idea on the next body styles, but they kept it where the things can still haul I bet.

I worked out of my '91. It was perfect. I kept the second seat up,in general, with tools in the back. It was like a crew cab shortbed. But,I could lay the right side seat and slide 8" lumber in and still close the doors and still carry two men in that row. Lay the left side down and carry much more while still carrying one man. I want another!

I love my 1990 burb design inside way better than the 68. I have to have 40-50 2x4s in the back first then stack up the ply to clear the GM aux heater.
