Sold One and Bought One!

I sold my 1964 big back window C-10 Custom Cab a while back. It came out in Classic Trucks Magazine a few months ago. I was so stoked! I have been missing it so I decided to start on another one.

I just picked up this 1965 small back window short bed. The outside is pretty nice but I am not fond of the interior. It has Jaguar electric bucket seats and console. The seats work even! The engine bay is in need of a full detailing. It has a 350 backed by a 350 Turbo. Original 12 bolt. Someone put a tilt column in it already. It runs OK when cold but once it gets warm, it sputters and almost dies with no power on take off. After it clears out it cruises fine again until I slow down again.

Plans are to get it running right, slam it, put disc brakes on it, change the wheels, detail the engine bay, put a bench seat back in it and original style steering wheel. I can't wait to get started!

And the replacement!

Re: Sold One and Bought One!

Both are real nice. Congrats on the mag spread. What is that color on your new ride? I might be thinking a color change for mine when I get to that point in time.

Re: Sold One and Bought One!

Thanks fellas. I ordered a bunch of little parts today. Just handles and tailgate chains and stuff. Hope to get out there and rip out the interior in the next week and get a game plan!
