Good parts hunting day!

So I picked up a one-owner '76 Two-Wheel Drive Blazer a month ago. It had a few parts that need replacing- so far my paid classified hasn't turned anything up, but I know it will.
Stuff I found last week locally included- original '76 grille insert (not reproduced), grille emblem, 7 & 8-inch ralleys, 2 sets of full wheel covers, orig steering wheel with wood insert, body trim, seat belts.

Today was the best so far. Found a guy with a pair of original '75 lowback buckets in a Jimmy he was parting (my original seats were swapped out). Called him and he said still had the seats- $50- each. GREAT PRICE! So I go down and see if there is anything else I can use- YES! The original center console, deluxe front turn signal and side marker lenses were still on the Jimmy- got them! Also a '73 Cheyenne Super in his yard that gave up a full instrument cluster with full gauges and Tach! And an original '73 AM/FM Radio! That would have made my day, but there was a tailgate laying there- square body, all the trim in perfect shape and nice original factory dark gold metallic and tan paint. I asked what the story was- he said it came off his grandpa's '78 Camper truck when it was brand new and stayed in the garage ever since! I don't need it, but know someone here definitely will. Should be on Classifieds tomorrow (yes I can post classifieds). Pics tomorrow too late and dark now.

Two of the things I miss about living in SOCAL, The Recycler sales paper and the dozens of Ecology, Pick a part yards!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if the recycler paper is still around, but I lived there in 1998-2000. David

Re: Good parts hunting day!

Not trying too hijack the thread but how do I go on finding out if some bucket seats really came out of a 67-72 c10? I bought two pair of buckets from an upholstery shop that was took over by the owners son when he passed. I will post pics of them.

Re: Good parts hunting day!

Post pics and we can identify. 67-68 buckets are TOTALLY different than '69-'72.

Re: Good parts hunting day!

The yellow ones MIGHT be '67s with out the frame? The blue ones don't look Chevy to me- too fat. Need some other opinions.
