I need exhaust help!
I have a 1986 chevy c10 and was wondering how hard is it to Change my Y-pipe? Is it just unbolt the old one and replace it with a new one.. Is there anything I need to worry about or is it just strait forward? And if anyone would know if Walker is a good manufacturer..

Re: I need exhaust help!
I'm thinking of ordering my stock exhaust online except for the cat and muffler. I want to replace the y-pipe myself, I'm thinking hacksaw from the front of the cat and remove the rest, and I'll have a shop use the same cat and put a new muffler on, and have them weld the rest of the exhaust .. Does this seem like the way to go about it?

Re: I need exhaust help!
If your y pipe rusts like they do up here, good luck,I have to cut the studs/pipes out
maybe you should remove the manifolds and get a shop to replace the studs.(what I did) so they don't strip out on you, then the hook up is tight fresh/new. could even grind out those noise disturbing bumps....
