Getting vacumm from an LS
Going to try the vacumm wipers before I change to electric. Where is a good place on a vortec engine to get vacumm?

Re: Getting vacumm from an LS
there is a tab on the passenger side the truck intake manifold that you can break off.
Let me see if I can find a picture.

Re: Getting vacumm from an LS
Stock or cammed motor? Most of the cammed ls's wont' pull enough vacuum to run brakes and wipers at the same time IMO, at least not the larger cams.

Re: Getting vacumm from an LS
KEWLKATDADY I saw that tab today when I was looking for options. Do you break it off then glue a nipple on?
BR3W City it is not a cammed motor so I am hoping I will have decent vacumm and use RainX. Thanks for giving advice. tbrown

Re: Getting vacumm from an LS
Just break off the 'tip', the nipple will stay there, and the two 'arm' like things help hold the vacuum hose on.

Re: Getting vacumm from an LS
If a few more things were this easy in the build I'd be driving the truck!
