WTB-Under dash speaker brackets

I am looking for the brackets that holds the speaker on the bottom lip of the dash under the AC controls. I have got two that i got from another member but they have a nut welded on each one of them and i can`t get them to work! I dont know if they were for non AC or not! I have seen the ones on this forum without the nuts and that is what I am looking for. Thanks

Can you grind the nut off? I think I have one without the nuts. I will look and post a picture if I do. I am not trying to sell it though. Do you want to sell one of yours that wont work?

It takes two brackets to hold the speaker and that is all I have. That is a possible idea if I cant find the correct ones. I would like to see a picture of yours if you have one.I would be willing to trade mine for the ones like I need, thanks.

Hard item to find. I sold a speaker to a member here and they had the different brackets than what he needed and he was looking to trade awhile ago. I do not remember which brackets it had but more than likely its the same as what you have. His name was luisg (or similar, ill check my pm's) Those dont look too hard to make though.

I have never seen that bracket before. Do you know what year model it came off of, or if it had AC!

The below pictured bracket that I highlighted in yellow from Gary 70 Jimmy's above post would've been from any 67-72 that was originally AC equipped. The bracket was used for mounting the AC type heater controls to the lower lip of the dash, this same AC heater control had a few other earlier GM applications using a 5 & 1/16" mounting hole spread, our 67-72 GM trucks have a 6 & 7/8" mounting hole spread and this highlighted bracket solved the hole spacing difference. GM was then able to use a part that was already produced and in use for a couple of years prior to 67. Mel
