Rear window alignment

So eighteenninetytwo had a similar question here. Similar question After reading his I think these are different issue so started a different thread.

My rear window will not roll up because the feet end of the gear that moves up and down come out of alignment with the window sash portion.

I'm going to try and say this is a different way.

The part of the gear that moves up and down and slips into the bottom of the window does not stay lined up with that part of the window about half way up during the roll up process. So the window rolls up about 1/2 way they the mechanism that is pulling it up slips out of the groove on the window sash piece and the window falls back down.

Honestly I could most likely reach in there an bend the gear arms to keep that tensions and hold the window to resolve this but wanted to see if there was better advice. There is zero felt in the window channels. this is a door from a different year Blazer.

Re: Rear window alignment

Sounds like maybe the round nylon bushings, that ride in the channel that hold the glass, are de-formed with age, or missing all together???

Re: Rear window alignment

Good call. Must be missing all together. All I have is the metal studs that slid into the sash. Nothing made of nylon.
