Re: LWB to SWB conversion. where to make the rear frame cut?
Thanks, I have a 210 syncrowave that does all the heavy duty aluminum (1/4") stuff. I just need another machine that I can take with me inside the night clubs that I usually do work in. The 200 dynasty will never happen unless I find one at a pawn shop for half price

Re: LWB to SWB conversion. where to make the rear frame cut?
It doesn't really matter. I went 7" off the back of the cab.
BUT, If I were to do it again, I would cut right in the middle of where the rearmost tank mount would go, so you have the added benefit of bolts holding it together as well as weld as well as fishplate.

Just to reiterate, that diagram isn't specifically for a 73-87 style truck. The dimensions and locations aren't right. That's for 67-72 trucks specifically.

Oh oops! Kevin, just goes to show how long it's been since I've been around on the board here! Didn't even think to look to see which section this was in!
Sorry for the mixup.
