Best riding dropped shocks?
I now need shocks for my lowered c10. I have spindles and springs in the front and a rear flip. What are the best riding shocks for my application. Budget is always a concern.

Re: Best riding dropped shocks?
Aftermarket 'drop' shocks seem to be very subjective as far as ride quality. You'll hear one guy say 'brand-X was great while another will say they were crap. The main issue is 'drop' shocks usually equal shocks w/less travel which impacts ride quality.
I always try to stick w/OE spec shocks unless using something developed for a certain drop by a company that R&D'd the length, stroke, & valving (Hotchkis, Ride Tech, etc...). The alternative to shorter drop shocks is to build or buy an upper bracket for the front shocks & use OE length replacement shocks. Same for the rear.... relocate the lower brackets (shock extenders) and or make a new upper bracket to gain the most travel & best geometry possible.

Re: Best riding dropped shocks?
Air Ride Techs Q Series. A little pricey but the best I've found since lowering my 77 C10 some 35 years ago. They come with a million mile warranty so they have done their home work on these shocks.

If your shock mount and bump stop are not modified, you can keep stock shocks.

Re: Best riding dropped shocks?
Not that great. Need a little bit longer ones in the rear.
