How To- Cheap and Easy Security for Your Under Bed Spare
There was a thread a couple years ago asking how to secure under bed spares from theft and loss. Below are some pictures of a device I bought from a Chevy dealer (even had a GM part number) in 1971 that is cheap and easy to fabricate that satisfies these needs. The pictures below are self explanatory. The hole is 1/2".

I used a chain -- doubled as a safety in case the ring-nut broke.
