I used to go on the theory that once the bottom of a panel rusted out, that was it. It wouldn't rust any more because it could drain and couldn't hold the crud.. I tested that theory on a '71 K/20 plow truck. Bad theory. My research results proved that and I now have a new theory. Water runs downhill. We all know that, right? Well, when salt is added to water it will run uphill, sideways, any way it wants to, and stay there for dinner! That's my new theory
