Re: Project 68 k10 LWB..aka "The Hulk"
Another picture of the ac conpressor.
Not sure if the refrigerant lines go out the top or the side. But I just have it in the bracket just to see how it looks and not tighten down yet.

Re: Project 68 k10 LWB..aka "The Hulk"
Was able to clean up the front swaybar mounts and get them installed. But forgot to take a picture. It looks good!
Next is to get the hole cut in the core support for the condenser so I can get it painted and installed on the frame.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I got a chance to get the new idler pulley on so I could put the serpentine belt on. Also got a quick picture of the swaybar brackets.

Nothing more exciting then a hole.....
Got the hole drilled in the radiator core support for the refrigerant lines to the condenser.

Re: Project 68 k10 LWB..aka "The Hulk"
Well I was able to get my son to help me today. We added all the gear oil to the front and rear diff's and ATF in the transfer case.
We also swapped brake pads from the D52's to the D153 must be 30% more pad surface. I figured that the Hulk could use it. I planned on taking a picture of the pad difference but forget. I just need to get the cab over to the body guy so he can sling some mud.... the roller is about as far as I can go with out sheet metal.

Re: Project 68 k10 LWB..aka "The Hulk"
Hey mike
Sorry been coaching 2 football teams and my older son moved to Montana for college. So I have not had any free time. The calipers are 80-85 caddy rears. I don't recall the part numbers. I bought them off eBay actually. The best price I could find. 7dee2 has the link he just posted about the custom cables I had made. I am sure it is back in My build also. Hope this helps. I will be back on the truck this winter. I ordered new body mounts and will coating under the cab and then get the cab on the frame.

I used Captain Fabs 6 lug bracket with the 88-90 GM 1500 Front rotors and the caddy's calipers. I did have to turn down the center hub on my axles to fit the rotors. Scott

OK, mines a K20 so probably have to use a different bracket and rotors. Thanks!

Re: Project 68 k10 LWB..aka "The Hulk"
Hey Guys , I started working on the body mounts and ordered new front body mounts for the 68 front radiator support. The problem is the frame is a 70. So the hole in the frame mounts are large for the 69-72 style bushings, too large for the 67-68.
Do I have to cut down the 69-72 bushing to the same thickness as the 67-68 thickness ?

Re: Project 68 k10 LWB..aka "The Hulk"
I'd call the vendor and see if the bushing kit is suppose to be different and is it just the hole diameter, i assumed they were the same....
