69 gonna lay frame

Just picked up my 69 burban. I'm only the second owner of the vehicle which is kinda neat if you ask me.

I drove 15hr round trip for it

Cost of burban 800
Cost of fuel/food 300
Cost of truck rental 45$

Future plans.
Lsx 5.3
4l60e with stage 2 shift kit
Porterbuilt air ride front and rear
16x8 and 16x8 rally wheels if I can find some
New to keep panels and lower skins all the way around the truck
Leaving the burban patina

Sounds like you have the mods all laid out. Good luck on the build.

Re: 69 gonna lay frame

I've got the basic idea of the mods I want... ad we all know it changes along the way of the build. Like I'm still deciding between the lsx and a possible 4bt cummins things I'm worried about with the 4bt is I'm have no experience working on them where as lsx motor I'm working on 3-5 during the week.

And I know I'll go porterbuilt front but the rear I might go with ride tech so I don't have to cut the floor for notch and all that. I'd like to add a 3rd row of seats

Also this is funded all by me a 23yo lol so ****s gonna take awhile

Re: 69 gonna lay frame

Well after 4 hours of working on the truck in the rain ive torn the rubber mat out to see how bad the floor boards were. ill get a picture tomorrow of the only spot I found.

also I cant get the darn 307 in there to have spark after trying many things. I wasn't getting power to the coil until I hot wired it to the battery. my ignition isn't getting power so I need to check all the wiring in the truck if its really that bad ill rewire the truck with a spare 22 circuit harness ive got from my drift car.

im only willing to spend 150$ on the motor before I pull it and start swapping the lsx series motor in

grabbing a 4L60e tomorrow with stage 2 shift kit.. 200$

ill have pictures tomorrow.
thanks for looking
