The truck looks awesome, and congrats on making it to the first show! Congrats on the baby, they are a lot of fun! Good luck with the sale. To give you an idea of what to sell it for, can I ask what you're into it for? PM me that if you would like. I bet if you took that to a high quality Meecum auction or the equivalent, you'd have the most luck of getting a premium price out of it there. Or, bring it to the All Truck Nats in September. I know a couple of guys who have sold high dollar 4x4's there. Good luck man!

Wow that's awesome. I have an 87 3/4 ton frame but it's only 2wd but I really like this look. How does the body mount to the frame? Did you have to cut out and make new body mounts or what? Its either that or im just gonna move the ifs from the 87 to the 48 frame

Thank you! The cab is sitting on 4" tall round tubing (pretty much a body lift) off the 71 cab mounts and modified to attach at the 50 cab mount holes. Its really simple.

Here's the latest video before our parade tomorrow. All I have left is interior sun visors, the rubber trim inside around the doors and eventually a vintage air kit. Oh, and I need to find the lower right rear u-bolt bracket for the ho52 since it broke.

Nice walk around, still a beautiful truck, must have electric fans on it.

Re: PROJECT: 1950 Chevy 3/4T 4x4... new member

Thank you! It has a huge Derale trans cooler with fan behind the front grille, however I bet what you are hearing is the noisy Holley Black electric fuel pump mounted on the frame behind the passenger side running board. I might fab some sort of box around it to cut the noise down a tad.

Oh ya I agree the Holley electric pumps are loud. I have tried to run all kinds of insulators to the frame and still hear them running, they work good though. Still all I can see is the cool truck.

Here is a good picture of it showing the blue in our dead front lawn LOL! We had a lot of compliments and a few people ask if we would sell it. It sure feels good to drive it!

I'd have to hook a gooseneck trailer up and load it with fuel to get to your place!! It does have a gooseneck ball just in case.

Ok waiting for the truck, I will move some trucks around here to make room for it, or just leave it in the front yard to drive evryday. man your wife is sure smiling, think mine might too. Sure lloks good in the parade, such a nice blue. Wonder if I could get away with 2 4x4's in my yard, hmmm, Ok no I like living in the house. Just brought home a 2wd 66 Lbox with a small block in it a couple of days ago, still in the house so far.

Awesome truck man. I just picked up a '51 one ton a couple months ago. I'm hoping to put it on a '85 full size 4x4 frame. Not sure if my wife and bank account will let me though.

Very nice truck Jason.

Hey Booger, you just have to wine and dine her. Do alot of "Honey-Do" things around the house without her having to ask you. Then find the donor truck you want and come home with it. It's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. Oh yeah, welcome to the best truck site on the net.

Jim, trust me, I've got that whole "ask for forgiveness" thing down pat. I've been honing those skills since before we were married! I already have the 4x4 I want to put it on, I just need to make up my mind if I want to do the 4x4 build or keep it as stock as possible since it's in really great shape rust wise. Also this site is great, so many different people with great ideas, i've joined a couple antique tractor forums and this one blows them away. I guess it's easier to be a truck fan than an antique tractor lover.

Lol, This is a great site. One of my brother-in-laws would beg to differ though. He is heavy into the antique tractors. If there is a show going on when I go up his way, he makes a point to take me with him.

COOL TRUCK,b4 I got my 64 4x4 I was interested in a 1950 1 ton panel sitting on a 70's suburban 4x4 frame but the cost was too much for me,so I had to settle for the 64,but that's ok as I haven't had a truck for yrs...I like the color you picked.Blue has always been my favorite color...

Hi
Absolutely beautiful truck N2Boost. I love the colour choice to. Is there any chance that you can give me the colour name or paint chip colour number? I would really like to paint my truck that colour.
