79 gmc crossmember swap

Hey all... This forum has a ton of knowledgeable people on here so I'm Looking for a bit of help. I'm looking at a 79 gmc 1/2 ton on CL, the owner is slow to respond to any questions, and I have yet to see it. I would like to do an x-member swap. It has a 6 with a four speed (my recipient 65 has a mild hot rodded 250 and camaro t5... And I'm thinking of sticking with the 6) he says it has power steering but manual brakes.... My question is this, what sort of brake set up will it have? Were they front discs like the power set-up? Or could it have front drums? Would they be the 1-1/4 discs or the smaller 1"?

I should have disc brakes. As for what rotors best bet would be to look at it.

I had an 83 with a six and 3 speed and it had the small disc brakes. For what that's worth.
