Value of a 1987 T5 that works good
Found a 1987 s-10 with a T5, was going ok till he threw a lifter...he wants $400 CAD bones for it ...he'll remove it...is it worth that and what parts should I get with it...thanks guys

I did pay $350 for a good one from a wreckers here in Canada. The rear shaft will be shimmed to take out the play in it but all in all, it was a good transmission. Make sure it has the shifter and everything. You can get a hurst shifter if you can find one, but they are a discontinued product. If he leaves the clutch and everything on, bonus although I personally would put a new one on.
