Inner door handle question

Trying to get off my passenger inner door handle I removed the clip and it won't pull off... I did the driver side and it came off easily same with both window cranks. Ive been shaking it, I've tryed shaking and jiggling it, and I've tryed shaking jiggling and beating it, and the bugger still won't get off. Any suggestions?

Re: Inner door handle question

try spraying a little soapy cleaner on the handle like purple power. where it meets the crank and let it soak for a few minutes

Re: Inner door handle question

I threw some deep creep sea foam on it and still nothing. Any other tips would be appreciated!

Re: Inner door handle question

It's a very long shot, but could there be a second clip jammed in there?

Re: Inner door handle question

Well knowing me I would probably spray some liquid wrench in there and let it set for awhile. Then I would hit inward on the center with my fist then try to pry it off or anything else. I will not let it beat me...

Re: Inner door handle question

Well deep creep has been there a couple hours and still nothing I did look for a second pin and there was nothing I've tried beating it towards the door with a mallet too and outwards off of the handle. I do have a parts truck tho thanks for the offer bustamante! If I take a die grinder to it does anyone know if those splines are easy to replace?

Re: Inner door handle question

I used a slide hammer on one that was stuck, came right off. The splines in the handle had corroded. The splines on the regulator were fine once I cleaned them up.

Re: Inner door handle question

Just had this same problem pulling the door panels off my cousins '72 parts truck. The drivers side door handle would not come off. Thought we could just brake or strip the handle out but in the end the whole shaft broke off in the handle.

Re: Inner door handle question

I suppose if worse came to worse you could use a grinder and just remove the outer shell of the handle. It's just pot metal and should grind away pretty easy. I would protect "EVERYTHING I DIDN'T WANT RUINED" and cut it off. Once the outer handle removed you could probably cut the handle off the splines carefully with a dremmil tool.
It's just pot metal and easily replaced.

Just a thought.
