Is that a guess or an answer?
![]() Auto linkage bracket would make sense, the truck originally came with a TH350, and the PO switched it to a 700r4 and never reused this bracket, just hacked some mechanical linkage to work together. |

Way off Michael. Like I said I have a relative location, but I need to know the exact function of the bracket so I don't discard it. I appreciate the guesses, but they don't get me the answer.

It looks like the bracket on the left of frame that the "relay rod??" Comes across from trans
But yes mostly a guess |

Sure looks like the auto linkage support, but it is not year correct. Looks like it is off a later model truck (79-80 ish) that was retro fitted. Anywhere on the frame up by the shifting mechanism that the bolt holes line up on?
