Dual Use Fuel Pump

With budgets being tight this year I had decided against the twin turbo LSx motor what with all the extra plumbing and so forth and decided and nice mellow 600 something hp BBC.

Do you guys have any experience running some of those dual use electric fuel pumps? The kind that can be used for either a carb or FI? I was thinking about going that route so that in the future I could install the FAST 2.0 System without having to swap out pumps and re-plumb it for FI.

Re: Dual Use Fuel Pump

I run a Aeromotive A1000 pump and return regulator, it will support high HP injected or carbed motors.

Re: Dual Use Fuel Pump

I also run an Aeromotive with a return regulator . The regulator came with a high and low pressure set of springs .

Re: Dual Use Fuel Pump

If you have a good reg like the others mentioned, you can put as much pressure into it as the pump supplies, since the reg will take it down to the desired level for you. Just make sure you don't have one of the low-pressure only regulators, otherwise your good. (and make sure any filters before the regulator are rated for the full pressure!)
