fuel hardline.....reviews?

i know this has somewhat been asked alot, but my question pertains to brand and/or material specifically. i was originally gonna run pushlock all the way from front to back, but made my mind up to do a single hardline piece from the rear axle to the front axle.....then pushlock from there.

so i was looking at the 3/8" roll of steel tubing from parts stores vs the nickel copper tubing for about double the price and then aluminum tubing from summit/jegs/etc for about the same price as the reg steel.

reviews? suggestions? tips? i plan on doing the 37* flare with tube nuts and whatnot on both ends in 1 stretch. i would do the line further in the back but i will be bagging the truck shortly so it will be getting cut up for the notch and all....so i dont wanna have to redo it hence the pushlock hose section.

regular steel stuff work fine, in most cases I don't see a reason to use something else. Its cheap, and everywhere.

The aluminum stuff works, but I don't like how flimsy it feels (at least not for full length fuel line). It can stress crack/rip at any torsion points, were they to occur. Its not bad stuff, I just wouldn't run 10ft of it.

I also really don't like the stainless line. Its much harder to cut and bend and flare, it tears, and it HATES anything with a compression ferrel.

I have run aluminum with no issues at all on mulitple vehicles. The only thing you have to do is make sure the line is secured properly with insulated clamps. Work hardening and cracking only occur when not fastened correctly. Aluminum is much easier to work with also and the price is right.

I ran stainless braided line on mine all the way...all you need then is the push lock to AN fitting

I used the nylon fuel line that the OEM uses, easy to put together with the tool and so far so good. Also far cheaper than braided lines.

I used aluminum and nylon and no problems. Helps keeping lines away from exhaust and run were no clips are needed
