Re: Smoothie steel wheel color help
that bamboo bed cover is crazy cool. I have bamboo all over the place and didn't think of that approach. So you split the bamboo and adhered it to a base cover of some kind?

Re: Smoothie steel wheel color help
not for a performance tire no .. most White Wall tires are a bias ply tire ... the Firestone are junk ive heard tons of bad stuff ... never really experienced any my self as ive had good friends to help me from making bad choices and wasting money Chevy Mike is a good IRL friend and when im thinking of something if he knows about it he tells me i shouldent and has good reasons .. then i don't .. if you want a good white wall tire that's gonna last its gonna have to be a bias ply ... on the other hand you could do mickeys ET Streets in the white letters facing out and then also get some mickeys for the front white letters facing out . and it would look really good too just a thought mickey Thompson makes nice front tires too

Re: Smoothie steel wheel color help
American classics makes a wide white radial. Nice tires and many sizes to choose from. Run around $250 each. I went with 235/75r15

Re: Smoothie steel wheel color help
I've thought about buying five caps and machining the spacer plate for six holes. It doesn't make sense why they don't. They have six hole crager s/s wheels now. Why not six hole spider caps

Re: Smoothie steel wheel color help
If the interior is still fawn, I'd look at that as well.

Re: Smoothie steel wheel color help
Just a followup. And Thanks for all the help on this.
After dealing with five different "Body Shops" that refused to paint my wheels I decided to paint them with a spray can. I went to the hardware store the first time and bought about six different colors. four tans a blue and a red. I sprayed them on some extra sheet metal I had around and none seemed remotely close to what I was looking for. It seems the cap never truely resembles the color. I trie some premixed colors through my spray gun as well. What I finally decided on was Signal Red. I then put three coats of clear over top. The only problem I see is getting the center caps off without scratching them. I also decided to paint My roof an antique white to match the whitewalls. Just have to get the back tires. I think I'm going to ditch the 8" wheels and run sixes with the same 235-75-15's that are on the front. Let me know what you think and thoughts on the rear wheels.

Re: Smoothie steel wheel color help
That almond looks nice. It's close to the color of my roof. I wondered what it would look like with the wide white. It works well with the narrow though
