Is this gauge in pic pegged?

Lol, you weren't certain what the readings on the gauge implied - answered. These gauges are so inaccurate it's kind of funny actually. You pegging it out just proved it passed electricity and not much else. Not sure why your gauge would be that much different than mine - which is new/cluster. Mine doesn't go 'vertical'.

Differnt sending units have different resistance ratings, resulting in different gauge readings. Having either personally owned original 71/72 trucks or family having owned 67-72 trucks when new, i can say that the normal temp reading is about 1/4 way from the left.

I believe you can delete a thread that you started. I've deleted some of mine.

I'm glad the thread was still running, I learned from it. Not sure why a thread starting back up is bad either. Even if the OP got his answer, why can't other people learn from it, too?
