73-87 high rise transmission tunnel
Where can I locate a high rise transmission tunnel for a 1978 cab. I am converting a 2wd 3 on the tree to a 4wd 4-speed.

I'll trade cabs with you. Logistics might be difficult, though. Mine came from a 83-87 that has the 4wd hump with the embossed area for the 4-speed shift and cutout for the transfer case shifter.

Re: 73-87 high rise transmission tunnel
I have the column for the 4WD to swap out with the column shifter. Everything is good except for tunnel. Any idea how much of a lift would be required if I leave the low rise tunnel in it?

Re: 73-87 high rise transmission tunnel
Will that tunnel work for the 4wd/4sp conversion? I actually have the ability to get one from a standard shift 3/4 ton truck.

Re: 73-87 high rise transmission tunnel
If I can use a tunnel out of a 2wd 3/4 ton standard shift truck then I am set. Let me know if this will work.

I'm not sure, I don't know where 4wd shifter comes through in relationship to the tunnel.
