Engine Stampings
So I'm cleaning up the engine in my 68 and find stamped on the boss at the front of the engine: VO305WI. There's also a chalk mark above it on the head with WI--any ideas? Shouldn't the serial be in this spot?

Re: Engine Stampings
Very cool, thanks. So it's quite possible the WI Mark is a factory one then!

Re: Engine Stampings
I'd say yes. Here is my 70 stamp and the crayon mark on side of block TAX
