Yes, it certainly can have a v6 in it, many GMC's did, It's a massive engine for 6 cylinders. It looks alright, but I don't understand where he's going with the rare comment.

I had a '60 with a 305 V-6, its a torque monster, it will light 'em up if running properly.

Perhaps the 63 gmc 4x4 part with a v6 makes it rare. I don't see any 2 wheel drive gmc's with v6's around these parts since I sold my 66.

I'm pretty sure the white V showing on near the top of the front of the fender says V6 with the number 6 sitting between the V

v 6 are hard on valves, harder still on long high way crawls. I havent seen many and fewer lately. a good price and it looks nice.
