LS Swap A/C compressor

I am going to put a 5.3 in my 67 soon. It has no air at the moment, can I use the a/c compressor from the 5.3 with one of the aftermarket a/c under dash units? If so what brand?

Re: LS Swap A/C compressor

From what I found we can use the stock 5.3 compressor from goggle search. But needs to be the denso type compressor. I havent figured out how to identify it though.

I wouldn't see why any compressor wouldn't work as long as you get the hoses to mate up to the inside cab stuff you buy and get the right brackets for it. Any good AC shop can make the hoses match up.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
