Thanks bud that's what I needed to know. I guess leaving it brushed will be okay. If nothing else, I may get it hydro-dipped.

1-ton: I appreciate it. I've never seen those before. I plan on making the back piece out of solid oak and cutting holes in it for the gauges. Then I plan on torching it, sanding it and then staining it to match some door mounted arm rests in making out of whiskey barrel slats. Should look killer when I'm done
