Or have the new windshield installed with the black trim strip. Then once back home replace it with the chrome one. There not that hard to swap out.
I wish I could get away with it on my 86 C20, the chrome strip has turned brown. The clear shield has pealed off the chrome. Front and back, the rubber windshield glass and back glass is so hard I would never get the trim strip back in once removed. So on my list new front windshield, after a rock hits it. The rear is easy. Ken
