52' passenger mirror question

Ive done a search and didnt find much help. Did the 52' 3100 come with a passenger side mirror? Dealer install option? Where did it mount, door, cowl???
I ordered new mirrors from Tucker but can't figure out where the passenger side goes... Once I figure out where it should go, then I will have my first faux-tina project... LOL

Thanks in advance for the help.

Bill

Re: 52' passenger mirror question

Most items like passenger side mirrors were a dealer installed item.

Do a Google search for your year and model of truck and that should bring up a batch of photos of trucks many of which should be stock or restored an you might find a usable shot of the passenger side mirror.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: 52' passenger mirror question

The mirror stem is different but the base is the same as the drivers side, and it mounts in the same spot as the drivers side on the cowl.

There is a reinforcement plate under the cowl with the holes already drilled in it.

The mirrors were an option and were installed at the factory if you ordered them, but you could buy them at the dealer and have them installed.

How do you find the holes? I haven't looked at mine but are the accessible from under the dash? So you can drill them out from the inside to make sure they are in the right spot?

Yes, or make a pattern from the driver's side on a piece of paper and flip it over.
