That is somewhat going to depend on what your budget is. Many guys purchase the cheap China made aluminum radiators seen on ebay for around $200. You can buy a quality made in USA aluminum or copper and brass radiator but it will cost you 2x as much as the Chinese radiator. For a quality USA radiator check Entropy radiator or RnD Fabrication found in the Vendor Marketplace here on the forum.

Re: Radiator for 350 in 1961 Chevy Apache

I had a reproduction copper/brass radiator for a 3/4-ton truck in my '61 C-10 Suburban. Bolted into the stock core support. 3-row, and without a fan shroud it kept the engine cool in Atlanta traffic in the summer.

My 283 with same Old radiator like yours, runs cool, I could pop the cap off anytime. No overheating. Any local radiator shops that rebuild, re-core older radiators?

I have a stock radiator in my 61 with a 350 and it cools great, as long as you have a good fan too. I'm also in so-cal....

Re: Radiator for 350 in 1961 Chevy Apache

While we don't currently list them for 1960-1962 Chevy trucks, we should be able to make them just like all the others before & after it. We'd need an original to build a prototype from, and would offer a discount in exchange for helping test fit. Contact me if you are interested.

Also, we are an American owned & operated company, a sponsor on this site, and we make everything by hand (TIG welded) with NO epoxy or plastic ever, and we used domestically sourced material.
