How to dress a bumper

Getting ready to install my chrome bumpers. They have been sitting outside for a couple years. They still look good. But I need to clean them up a little. What is the best approach? Steel wool? Polish? A buffer? Thoughts?

Thanks
Chris

Re: How to dress a bumper

I've always used CLR and 0000 steal wool. It'll take any rust and grime off without harming the chrome but make sure to use 0000 Suze steal wool

clr is a standard house hold cleaner for rust,Steel wool should be found in the house hold cleaners if not a hardware store will have it.But like said steel wool comes in different grits the more 0's the better.

Re: How to dress a bumper

Here is the update on the bumper. Quick and easy. But I may still replace it. You look close you can see the spider cracks and other imperfections
