Reviving an old thread......
I like what I'm seeing here but wonder if one could skip a buncha fab work for a static drop of smaller size. I have 2.5"drop spindles with one coil cut from the stock springs. Thinking about removing the springs and putting QA-1 coilover shocks in place of the factory shocks. I imagine that's WAY too much pressure for the stock mounts, but assuming that I'm able to make a reinforced upper mount, what other downsides would I have against the full blown rearrangement that has been documented here? Anyone done this and have a picture / review of performance over using a coil and regular shock instead? Thanks! M7
