Hello to all! My work has service trucks and I may be able to aquire a complete 07 Chev 6.0 with a automatic trans truck. I can get the entire truck with 140,000 on motor and around 50,000 on transmission for free. It runs great! I currently have a original 327, turbo 400, with 4:11 gears C20. I have been reading a little bit on here about parts needed and trying to just find a complete parts list that is needed. Is this a no brainer?

Thats what I'm thinking too. Is there by chance a parts list that a member has put together for parts needed or a complete kit? Motor and trans mounts, hoses, radiator, gas pedal, headers, air intake, fuel pump??? I guess I'm not sure whats all needed. I should probably just spend more time searching on here and it will make sense. 😄 Thanks in advance!!!

Each install is a little different..basic things you'll need you will get with the donor truck. Engine, trans, ecm, wiring harness,gas pedal .other items you'll need are motor mount adapters, i got mine off ebay, if you keep your stock gauges you'll need a set of adapters made by autometer.speedometer is electric output so youll need electric speedo or a convetor. I used dakota digital on mine.I used my stock radiator and the hoses matched up perfect. Yours may not.some headers work better than others but frame trimming may be required. Tbss or camaro manifolds may be a better fit. Air intake ,some use factory airbox and make them look as if it came that way, I used spectre parts and built my own. Fuel pump, I used a walbro 255 inline and vette style filter reg..you can also go in tank pump as well. Wiring harness, either mod your
donor or go aftermarket. I used psi.you'll also need your ecm flashed and a pro tune
done after the install. If donor truck has hydroboost I would recommend swapping
that over if you don't have it already. I enjoyed my swap and don't regret it but you
will find there are many different ways to do things and will get a lot of opinions that
differ on how to do it. Good luck though..oh and you may have to do a little driveshaft work..just depends. And maybe some shifter linkage fabbing

It's a no brainer unless you are against roasting the tires at will. With a donor vehicle you will have most of what you need http://lt1swap.com/ has all the info you need to do the swap. Well worth the effort.

Me neither! Both my toys have an LS and the one I am building now will have as well.
