I can't see any leakage anywhere
Will look again closely soon, but I don't think so. It's only if I have to slam on the brakes like if someone pulls out in front of me. Maybe that is normal for the truck to lock up and slide? It is very light in the back

My truck is a '72 C20 conversion.
It now has a 73-87 1/2 ton front end (conversion parts werent around, or I didnt know about them, or both) and a myriad of miss-matched parts. I love it, but its a complete Frankenstein at this point and I find myself wanting a bone stock 67-72, now. Grass is always greener

1970, 350, 3 speed on the column. Very clean truck. Body was done at some point and not driven much since then. Paint is not show quality but quite nice. Very dependable and gets 18 mpg driving in the 55-65 mph range

glad to see you back brian... good choice to keep your beautiful c20. now that your back on we need to meet up sometime I would like to see it in person and Wanda wants a new friend. i wondered where you had been and thought about you when the tornado came thru over at your shop, do you still work there? if you want to put a posi in there is a good place in Baytown that changed my gear and seals and added a posi to mine last year..

Maybe locking up is the wrong term. It's more that if going 40+ mph and I have to press the brake pedal fast and hard, the trucks rear brakes will grab and the truck will slide and make a screeching noise like when you slam on the brakes and your vehicle slides. It's the only vehicle that screeches and slides so easily out of all the vehicles I've owned. To be fair this is the oldest vehicle I've owned and also the only vehicle without ABS.

This one I know will tick a few off.But my 3/4 ton needs work.
Its rare truck for being a early 1969 truck but its still has the 1968 body and trim package and a few options most like ands still have all of the parts that came with it.. I like to put stock 1/2 ton spindles on this truck using the 3/4 ton ball joints put the leaf spring rear end to it sense it has a leaf spring.. Keep the 396 engine in it put the 400 trans back to it and put a Gear vender to give my a 6 speed. I'm talking about my 1968 longhorn 396/400 AC power steering power brakes tool box and trim package I want to convert this truck from 3/4 ton to stock 1/2 ton with the 8 1/2 foot bed |

Great Looking truck. I wish I would've kept my truck as a C20 but back when I first converted there wasn't much for the 8 lug setup that I wanted/needed. I went 5 lug all around with a mini spool in the 12 bolt rear

I do tell people here in calif.if you have a 3/4 ton with leaf spring you have more luck on changing you truck to a 1/2 ton and there worth more.I try to tell them to have it reweighed to get it re class it Make for lesser amount when tags come up Plus if you sell if out of state it looks kinda funny.
But if your going to keep it in Calif then having a 1/2 ton is the better bet |
