Help!!!!! Wiper motor hitting stereo

Ok so we just got my sons truck back from paint and are finally putting it back together. We ended up going with a double din stereo since the dash was cut apart already. But my dumb #%^ didn't have the wiper in there when I fabbed up the dash. Now the stereo hits it and sticks out about an inch. Hopefully I can go with a different wiper motor that doesn't stick out as far. I will try and post some pics when I get home later.

Re: Help!!!!! Wiper motor hitting stereo

Try a radio that is called a media player radio without a cd player installed. They are not as deep as a cd radio. That will give you extra room behind the radio. Check out Sonicelectronic website and search for media players

Patch the dash, put the radio in the glovebox, center console, or under the seat.

Re: Help!!!!! Wiper motor hitting stereo

Ok, the stereo is already a non cd player and patching the dash and moving it is out of the question. So im just gona try and find a newer wiper motor and fab it into place. Unless someone has an option for me??

Re: Help!!!!! Wiper motor hitting stereo

Its a 1965 and the motor sticks straight out. I think with a little trimming and fab work I can rotate it and make it work. We'll see this weekend.
