I think that I am going to go with the powder coat. I talked to a plating place and a local place that does the powder coating for my work today. The plating was going to cost 150 to 200 for each step and that was only the step and not the brackets. The powder coating is only going to be 60 for both and that includes a coat of clear over it when finnished. I told the guy where I worked and I think that is one reason he is cutting me a break.
As for the tanks, I dont have any more pics of them right now. I dont have a digital camera. I used a piece of 1 1/2" thin wall conduet (how ever it is spelled ) with a 1 1/2" fernco 90 deg elbow and a 1 1/2" fernco "T". I had to put a piece of hose on the tank before i could install the fernco since I have used tanks from a 80 truck. For some reason the older tanks have smaller fill hoses. I have used a piece of 5/8 hose for the vents for now, I am thinking of using a solit copper line when I go to put my bed back on.I have a 3 inch body lift so I shouldnt have a problem with the clearance for the tube. I am going to hook up the fill tube as usual in the bed side and just use hose to conect them togeather. If any one hase more questions or coments let me know, I will try to get more pics as soon as possible.
