speedo needle removal
Im trying to swap the gauge face to a brand new looking face for my 70 C10. I've got the face plate loose, but the only thing keeping me from the swap is the needle itself. How does it come off? Do you just pull it off? I tried gently and no luck so far.

Folllow up question. Now that I removed and replaced the needle, it reads high. Do I just need to take it back off and reposition it at 0 when it's resting? I thought I did that, but maybe i need to do it again. if not whats' the procedure for positioning the needle at 0?

Yep, back off and align it at rest to zero. I forget if there's a "hard stop" at zero that you can rotate the needle against internally, that makes it easier as you don't have to pop it off and on, you can just turn it.
Worst case, off and on again.
