Re: 1967 GMC V6 Stamp Number

I always thought the v6 was a cool engine. drove a big truck with a 401? frome PHX to varios locals in NM. the v6 was best on local routs. they had serious valve problems there whole life and burned them often. especially on sustaind hiway driving.

with a good set of valve seats, soduim filled stainless valves and thermal coatings all around... they will no doubt survive today.

I also drove a 67 gmc, absolutely loaded back in the late 70's very cool but it struggled to rev even like a chevy six. way too much reciprocating weight and clearly the intake runners were not designed for speed.

tough as an anvil .

yours looks very cool.
