Re: Slow filling gas tank

My '70 fills really slow as well but I can see that the tank has been replaced by a PO and the fill hose is kinked slightly....it doesn't go from the fill neck to the tank in the proper position so I assume it's not the original neck configuration....

I plan to pull the tank to see what's going on .....I have an old tank with the proper neck that I may braze onto the replacement tank.....
I can use the first catch on most gas nozzles if I don't insert it too deep........

Also if I reach under and kinda squeeze the kink out....it will fill a little faster.....but then again....at my age.....I just don't get in too much of a rush.........as small as the tank is, it doesn't take all that long.
