So after a lot of thinking and great feedback here (a big thank you to you guys) I went with the Stan's tri-y headers for a Chevelle. Just installed them and they fit like a glove! The passenger side came a little close to the frame but caused no issues. In one of the pics you can see how much lower the Headmans were (on the far side of the truck)

Looks great and I was wondering how they will work out on the drivers (left) side around the z-bar for a clutch...

My truck (sbc with v8 frame mounts) with the same basic headers fit around the clutch linkage. My only issue was the swing for the upper arm. I had to tweak it outboard a bit to clear. I am sure there are pics in my build thread. Shane
