Re: Chevy with 305?
Ron,
No more pictures yet. I'm about 99% certain you're right, the vin will be 0c not 0k. Otherwise there wouldn't have been a purpose in the swap I think. I went through the 60-66 Chevy/GMC assembly manual looking for clues, but it doesn't even mention the 305, so I don't have any information about Chevy vs GMC differences I'm afraid. When someone swaps a 283 for a 305 do you know if they have to change the bell housing? I think if the title is 2wd I will take a pass since the truck would always be a Frankenstein. If it is 4wd, I think I have the parts in my barn to make it a full Chevy. B |

Re: Chevy with 305?
you would need a 60-62 283 b/housing if you were interested in stock as for the hydr clutch was mounted passenger side and the frt motor mount is different for those years. you can get around both of those obstacles though with a little fabbing.
you can always ask your mvo what modifications that have been done. all states are not the same. you can check state regulations in the following link. check with your mvo for clarification on anything though. your just asking questions. http://www.semasan.com/page.asp?cont...olbox&g=SEMAGA ron |

Re: Chevy with 305?
If you get it and decide to take the 305 out, I may be interested in it. I live in Indiana, so I should be within driving distance.
