1947 headers
I read somewhere that 1980's to 1990's C10 headers will work for stock frame with MII suspension and a small block as well as Hedman headers for an early camaro. Anyone confirm this?
I would prefer either of these types of headers to the norm block hugger shorties. |

Re: 1947 headers
Also read somewhere that early camaro mid length headers might work.

Re: 1947 headers
I've had early Camaro headers on my 48 when it had a Camaro subframe under. The C-10 headers should fit as the frames are pretty much the same width. The only issue with C-10 headers I can think of right off hand might be that the drop down too far and have ground clearance issues if the truck is real low.
I've got a set that I bought for my 71 GMC when I had the 350 in it at home that I can measure. I think they were the base Patriot set that I bought from OReilly's back when I redid the exhaust on the truck.

Re: 1947 headers
Thanks for the info. The C10 headers I was looking at were mid length type.
They are similar to the camaro except the front cylinder runs over the center two ports and I thing the camaro type the front cylinders run behind the center ports. I am using the stock frame. |

Re: 1947 headers
But will long tubes fit using a MMII on a stock frame?

Re: 1947 headers
Will they? Hmmm
Would be great iffen they did. Seems like if they take the same path as the mid length ones then they should, right? |
